Silk was born Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actress, director and producer who also taught the course at St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter, a distinguished academic. Anna holds some early memories of attending to rehearsals of plays. Silk made several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. She was a graduate of St. Thomas University with the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas produced two of its first productions, Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk started her career in acting when she moved to Toronto Canada in November of 1999. Then she moved from Toronto to Los Angeles for the remainder of that decade. Silk met her husband, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. They were married in the civil ceremony on December 10, 2009 after they became engaged. On April 10, 2011, they renewed their vows at the context of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton after she had converted to Judaism.
